Heath started work as a volunteer in the disability sector in 1989 before commencing his Social Work Degree at Curtin University. While studying at Curtin University, Heath worked as a Support Worker in both Community and Respite services. Upon completion of his degree he travelled and worked in the United Kingdom as a Care Manager in the Disability, Health and Aged Care sectors.
Returning to Perth in 2000 he worked in the Community Sector before accepting a position with the Disability Service Commission in 2003. During this time, he completed his Masters of Business Administration at the University of Western Australia and took up a position with the Office of Auditor General in 2010 where he worked in an advisory role supporting government agencies to develop audited KPIs.
Heath is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Midway Community Care which he considered to be the exciting opportunity of his career. He also enjoys his role of the Chair of the City of Mandurah’s Access and Inclusion Advisory Group.

Heath is married with one daughter and is a bit of a diehard Star Wars fan (the original movies only, please!). He describes himself as a committed and passionate professional and looks forward to continuing to make a difference in the Mandurah and Peel Region.
